Job Description:

Stroudsmoor Inn Towne is seeking a talented and creative Bakery Prep/Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating, along with a keen eye for detail and design. As a Bakery Prep/Decorator, you will be responsible for bringing our clients’ visions to life by skillfully decorating cakes according to their specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Decorate cakes according to customer orders, including but not limited to wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and specialty cakes.

2. Use various icing techniques, piping, fondant, and other decorative elements to create visually stunning designs.

3. Work closely with clients to understand their design preferences and ensure their satisfaction with the finished product.

4. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all sanitation and food safety guidelines.

5. Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring ingredient levels.

6. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continually enhance skills and creativity.

7. Collaborate with other bakery staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.

8. Must be willing to assist with other bakery tasks such as baking, frosting, and packaging as needed.

9. Any other additional duties that are assigned.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a cake decorator or baker is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

5. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

6. Passion for baking and a genuine love for creating beautiful and delicious desserts.
